Basketball Recap: Summers County Bobcats vs. Midland Trail Patriots
Summers County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 48-37 to the Midland Trail Patriots. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-50 back in December of 2024.
Midland Trail's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Levi Skaggs led the charge by putting up 11 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Thad Brown, who posted 11 points and six boards.
Summers County's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Midland Trail, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5.
