Baseball Recap: Granby Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Granby had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Norview on Tuesday. The Comets put the hurt on the Pilots with a sharp 10-2 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Comets considering their one-run performance the contest before.

The victory (which was Granby's third in a row) raised their record to 5-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Norview, they moved to 8-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Granby will be taking part in a tournament against Nansemond-Suffolk Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Comets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Saints have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
