Lake Ridge had won seven straight games and Eze Nwakamma did his part to make it eight on Friday. The Lake Ridge Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 70-68 victory over the Shadow Creek Sharks thanks in part to Nwakamma, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 11 boards. He has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more rebounds the last three times he's played.

Lake Ridge's win bumped their record up to 19-1. As for Shadow Creek, they moved to 16-2 with that loss, which also ended their 12-game winning streak.
