The Libertyville Wildcats will challenge the Lane Tech Champions at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Libertyville is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
Libertyville will bounce into Saturday's match after beating Warren Township, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Wildcats won by a run and slipped past the Blue Devils 7-6.

Taylor Higham spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sofia Lombardo, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Emily Psyhogios was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Libertyville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Lane Tech made easy work of Resurrection on Friday and carried off a 12-3 victory. The Champions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 games by seven runs or more this season.

On the hitting side, Lane Tech got a massive performance out of Grace Brobson, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs Brobson has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Gianna Phillips, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.
Libertyville's win bumped their record up to 21-8. As for Lane Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 19-11.
