Baseball Game Preview: JAG Volunteers vs. Carver Montgomery Wolverines

For the second straight game, JAG will face off against Carver Montgomery. The Volunteers will head out on the road to challenge the Wolverines at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. JAG has given up an average of 11.2 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when JAG and Carver Montgomery meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Volunteers lost 13-3 to the Wolverines. The Volunteers haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

For Carver Montgomery's part, the team relied heavily on Christopher Thomas-Grace, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The Wolverines are undefeated when Thomas-Grace posts two or more stolen bases, but 6-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Kamari Gordon, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

JAG now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Carver Montgomery, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
