Basketball Recap: Nina Wilson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lynnwood over Shorewood

Lynnwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 63-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shorewood Stormrays. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-46 back in January.

Lynnwood's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nina Wilson, who posted 19 points. That was a full 34.5% of Lynnwood's points, marking the third time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. Shifa Hanchinamani was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Lynnwood's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Shorewood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-12.

Lynnwood has already played their next game, a 66-34 defeat against Cedar Park Christian on the 1st. As for Shorewood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-41 victory against Edmonds-Woodway on the 4th.
