Basketball Recap: Volunteer Takes a Loss

Volunteer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-49 heartbreaker at the hands of the University School Buccaneers. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly five points.

Volunteer's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for University School, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Volunteer has already played their next game, a 64-50 win against Daniel Boone on the 28th. As for University School, they will head out to face off against North Greene at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
