Basketball Recap: Boulder Takes a Loss

If Boulder was riding high fresh off their 73-48 takedown of Mountain Range last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Boulder Panthers were outmatched by the Riverdale Ridge Ravens and fell 70-22. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Lexi Oder was Boulder's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Oder also led the team in assists with three.

Brihanna Crittendon continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Riverdale Ridge, going 12-for-21 en route to 27 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. The game was Crittendon's tenth in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Chloe Parker, who went 7-for-10 on her way to 17 points and four steals.

Boulder's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Riverdale Ridge, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Coming up, Boulder will head out on the road to take on Westminster at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Riverdale Ridge, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 47-29 win against Monarch on the 15th.
