The Freedom Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the California Grizzlies at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, everything went Freedom's way against Pittsburg as Freedom made off with a 15-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Freedom.
Freedom let Olivia Hurtado and Lauren Denny loose on the outfield. Hurtado went 2-for-2 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Denny scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-1. Yazmeen Sanchez was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, California has not done well against Foothill recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. California had just enough and edged Foothill out 8-7.
