Softball Recap: Shorecrest Comes Up Short

Shorecrest lost against Shorewood back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Scots fell 10-5 to the Stormrays. The Scots just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Natalie Fernandez was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Lyla Ann Taing, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Shorecrest's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Shorewood, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

Coincidentally, Shorecrest and Shorewood will both be playing Archbishop Murphy the next time they take the field. The Stormrays will host the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Scots will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
