Baseball Recap: Eastmoor Academy's Run of Six Straight Wins Now Over

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last six matches, Eastmoor Academy finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They lost 12-0 to the Jonathan Alder Pioneers. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Warriors, who until this game were averaging 4.05 runs allowed.

Eastmoor Academy moved to 17-3 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak. As for Jonathan Alder, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 23-2.

Coming up, Eastmoor Academy will venture away from home to take on Whetstone at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 4, the Braves 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Jonathan Alder, they will square off against Heath at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Pioneers surely won't give up without a fight.
