Marion had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Richland County Tigers on Wednesday as the Marion Wildcats made off with a 61-36 victory. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Marion's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaden Rogowski led the charge by going 8-for-14 en route to 19 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Cameron Curry, who went 7-for-11 to rack up 15 points and six rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Richland County lost, don't look at Reid Brown. Despite the final result, he went 8-for-12 on his way to 19 points and five boards. The dominant performance gave Brown a new career-high in points.

Marion is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points over those games. Richland County is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-15.
