Volleyball Recap: St. Joseph Academy Crusaders vs. Coastal Academy Stingrays
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Maranatha Christian, St. Joseph Academy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Coastal Academy Stingrays. The victory was some much needed relief for the Crusaders as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
After all that action, the final score was 25-18, 25-14, 19-25, 25-12.
St. Joseph Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're ace total in three consecutive matches.
St. Joseph Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Coastal Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Joseph Academy will challenge Del Lago Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coastal Academy, they are on the road again on Wednesday to play Escondido Charter.
