Basketball Recap: Central Kitsap Cougars vs. Capital Cougars
The Central Kitsap Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They fell to Capital 48-43. If Central Kitsap was looking for revenge after losing 46-35 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Central Kitsap's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maddy Higgs, who scored 19 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Higgs has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Abi Lundblad, who scored six points along with 13 rebounds and two steals.
Central Kitsap's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Capital, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-9 record this season.
Central Kitsap does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Capital also has no future games currently scheduled.
