Basketball Recap: Franklin County Tech's Loss Ends 14-Game Winning Streak at Home

Franklin County Tech suffered their biggest loss since December 19, 2023 on Friday. They came up short against the Mount Greylock Regional Mounties, falling 54-29. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mounties apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brayleigh Burgh, who went 5 for 8 on her way to 12 points. Those 12 points gave Burgh a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariel Peters, who posted a point and seven rebounds.

Franklin County Tech's loss ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1.

Franklin County Tech will venture away from home to face off against Ludlow at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Greylock Regional will take on Belchertown in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
