Soccer Game Preview: Artesia vs. Lovington

The Artesia Bulldogs will square off against the Lovington Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Artesia will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.

On Saturday, Artesia made easy work of Portales and carried off a 6-1 win. The result was nothing new for Artesia, who have now won eight matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Portales with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Damian Lopez (2), Moises Corza (2), Samuel Nielson, and Adan Alva.

Meanwhile, Lovington had just enough and edged out Goddard 4-3 on Saturday. Lovington haven't had any issues with Goddard recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Artesia's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Lovington, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.

Artesia was able to grind out a solid win over Lovington in their previous matchup last Thursday, winning 2-0. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
