Baseball Recap: Richland Comes Up Short

Richland managed to slip by Magee the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Richland lost 15-7 to Magee on Saturday. That's two games in a row now that the Rangers have lost by exactly eight runs.

Bryce Shows made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Bobbitt, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

This is the second loss in a row for Richland and nudges their season record down to 4-8. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Magee, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Richland will host Raymond at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Magee has already played their next matchup (against Pisgah), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
