Soccer Game Preview: North Mac vs. Beardstown

The North Mac Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Beardstown Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. North Mac has given up an average of 5.6 goals per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

North Mac fell victim to Litchfield and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Purple Panthers, falling 9-0. North Mac have struggled against Litchfield recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, Beardstown was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They lost 8-0 to Springfield Southeast.

Beardstown has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14-2 record this season. As for North Mac, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15-1.

North Mac couldn't quite get it done against Beardstown in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-2. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
