Softball Recap: Lincoln's Luck Changes for the Better on Sunday

Lincoln's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Sunday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the North Providence Cougars a 7-0 shutout. Considering the Lions have won three games by more than six runs this season, Sunday's blowout was nothing new.

The win snapped Lincoln's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-5 record. As for North Providence, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln will square off against Burrillville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Broncos have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for North Providence, they will face off against East Greenwich at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
