Softball Recap: Roswell Comes Up Short

Roswell lost against Lovington back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Coyotes fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Coyotes have suffered since March 8th.

Roswell saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Yadira Aragon, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Roswell dropped their record down to 4-8 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Lovington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Roswell didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-1 loss against Artesia on the 12th. As for Lovington, they will host Portales at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Wildcats their first taste of in-conference action this season.
