Baseball Game Preview: Norwood Indians vs. Cincinnati Christian Cougars

Norwood hasn't had much luck against Cincinnati Christian recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Indians will be playing at home against the Cougars at 5:00 p.m. Norwood has given up an average of 8.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Norwood is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Monday. They lost 17-4 to Cincinnati Country Day.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Cincinnati Christian and Cincinnati Trailblazers HomeSchool meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Cougars came out on top against the Trailblazers by a score of 5-2.

Cincinnati Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Norwood, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.

Norwood suffered a grim 18-2 defeat to Cincinnati Christian in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
