Softball Game Preview: Troy Trojans vs. Franklin Wildcats

The Troy Trojans will head out to take on the Franklin Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Troy made easy work of Tecumseh and carried off a 12-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Arrows: they've now won four in a row.

Amayah Kennedy was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Mimi Shaw, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Tuesday. Franklin came out on top against Harrison by a score of 6-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for Franklin.

Franklin's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. As for Troy, their record now sits at an identical 2-0.
