Soccer Recap: William Smith Comes Up Short

They came up short against the Aurora West College Prep Academy Spartans, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, William Smith can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Aurora West College Prep Academy are ranked 96th).

William Smith's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Aurora West College Prep Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

William Smith will head out to square off against Denver Jewish Day at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Aurora West College Prep Academy, they are taking a road trip to take on Nederland at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Aurora West College Prep Academy will be up against Nederland's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.83 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
