South Harrison proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 12) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Philip Barbour Colts 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hawks have posted since April 3rd.

South Harrison let Jaxon Anderson and Brogan Medina run wild. Anderson went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Medina got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Noah Myers, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

South Harrison's victory bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Philip Barbour, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Harrison will take on Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Philip Barbour, they will challenge Tucker County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mountain Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.92 runs per game on average), something the Colts will no doubt try to take advantage of.
