Softball Recap: Mission Oak Hawks vs. Tulare Union Tribe
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Mission Oak and Tulare Union meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Hawks walked away with a 5-2 win over the Tribe. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.
Maleena Martin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits.
On the hitting side, Braelyn Serpa was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Journee Hernandez, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
