The Foothills Christian Knights will take on the Maranatha Christian Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Foothills Christian is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Horizon Prep just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 3-2.

Maranatha Christian took Tri-City Christian into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. After all that action, the final score was 25-11, 26-28, 22-25, 25-13, 15-12.

Sage Owens had an outrageously good game as she had 27 digs and two aces.

She wasn't the only good server: Maranatha Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 27 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Foothills Christian's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4. As for Maranatha Christian, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
