Plainfield's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout  on Saturday. They never let the Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos get on the board and left with  a   13-0  win. Considering the Quakers have won ten matchups by more than five  runs this season, Saturday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Amelia Martin looked comfortable as she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits over four innings pitched.
 At the plate, Plainfield got a  massive  performance out of  Ayva Mayes, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI. Mayes continues to improve, besting her previous  run total in each of the last three games she's  played.  Bennett Sauri also deserves some recognition as  she  got her first  hit of the season.
 Plainfield  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .625. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Plainfield's record now sits at 16-1. As for Lafayette Jefferson, they now  have a losing record of 6-7.
 Coming up, Plainfield will square off against Noblesville at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The Millers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9  runs per game  this season, so the Quakers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lafayette Jefferson, they will face off against Decatur Central at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The Hawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven  runs per game on average), something the Bronchos will no doubt try to take advantage of.
