It's playoff time, and Nettleton had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Choctaw County Chargers by a score of 5-0 on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on five straight.

The result came thanks to Bailey Payne's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Zyah Gunter, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Kennice Finnie was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Nettleton's win bumped their record up to 27-3-1. As for Choctaw County, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-17.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Nettleton beat the Chargers by a score of 11-1 on Monday.
