Coronado has gone 8-2 against Amarillo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Coronado Mustangs will face off against the Amarillo Sandies at 5:00 p.m. Coronado is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Coronado's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They skirted past Monterey 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Mustangs were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, on SaturdayPalo Duro kept up with Amarillo until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. Amarillo put the hurt on Palo Duro with a sharp 4-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Sandies, who have now won three matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Coronado pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Amarillo, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Coronado came up short against Amarillo in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, falling 3-1. Can Coronado avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
