Basketball Recap: Forsyth Home Educators Comes Up Short

Forsyth Home Educators lost against South Charlotte back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hawks lost 78-58 to the Thunder. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Hawks have suffered since February 4th.

Despite the loss, Forsyth Home Educators still got an impressive performance from Baylin Clodfelter, who went 8-for-15 en route to 23 points along with six boards and four steals. The contest was Clodfelter's fourth in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Kellum, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds.

South Charlotte had a senior duo take command as Jack Porter had 17 points and five boards and Ashton Yandle shot 50% from the field on his way to 18 points. Another player making a difference was Kristoffer Lang Jr., who put up eight points and seven rebounds.

Forsyth Home Educators' loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for South Charlotte, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Forsyth Home Educators didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-42 defeat against South Guilford HomeSchool on the 20th. As for South Charlotte, they have also already played their next matchup, an 83-54 loss against Charlotte Country Day School on the 18th.
