Football Recap: Sultan Turks vs. Interlake Saints
Sultan couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 27-18 to the Interlake Saints on Friday.
Sultan's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Julio Vargas Jr, who picked up 177 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Vargas Jr's longest reception was for an incredible 83 yards. Kaden Koehler was another key passer, throwing for 181 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes.
Sultan will square off against Granite Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Interlake, they will face off against West Seattle at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
