Softball Recap: Hamilton Hawkeyes vs. Plainwell Trojans        
        
		
            
 Hamilton put another one in the bag  on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Plainwell Trojans 16-3. The result was nothing new for Hamilton, who have now won six contests by nine  runs or more  so far this season.
  Julia Brown made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  struck out 11 batters over  five innings while giving up  three earned runs off   six  hits (and not a single walk). Brown was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 4-for-4.
 In other batting news, Hamilton let  Ella Davison and  Savanna Eding loose on the outfield. Davison  went 3-for-4 with four  RBI and two  runs, while  Eding  went 2-for-2 with three  RBI, a  triple,  and a  run.  Taylor Oosterink was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-2.
 Hamilton pushed their record up to 9-0 with that  victory, which was their 11th straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Plainwell, they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-4.
 Hamilton will be playing at home against Kalamazoo Christian at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Hamilton is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 12.4  runs per game  this season. As for Plainwell, they will be staying on the road  on Saturday to face off against Allegan at 12:00  p.m.
