Basketball Recap: Unity Christian Takes a Loss

Unity Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the Pathway Christian Panthers on the road by a 43-29 margin. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Knights this season, with their most recent loss being a 49-48 defeat last Friday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pathway Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Preston Yutzy, who went 7 for 12 en route to 16 points in addition to seven boards and six steals. Pathway Christian is undefeated when Yutzy posts five or more steals, but 8-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryker Miller, who posted nine points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Unity Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Pathway Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-9.

Unity Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pathway Christian, they have already played their next match, a 78-34 defeat against Quad Cities Christian on the 7th.
