Basketball Recap: Sevier County Gets the Win

Sevier County proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 35) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the William Blount Governors 59-57. Given the Smoky Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Governors are ranked 136th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sevier County's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-6. As for William Blount, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-13.

Sevier County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for William Blount, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Eagleton College & Career Academy at 7:30 p.m. on November 12.
