Volleyball Recap: Sotomayor Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Sotomayor hadn't done well against Warren recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The WILDCATS skirted past the Warriors 2-1. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the WILDCATS as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Among those leading the charge was Marina Soliz, who had 12 digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (five). Rebecca Moeller also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

The win got Sotomayor back to even at 8-8. As for Warren, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Sotomayor has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Long Creek on the 23rd. As for Warren, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Marshall on the 26th.
