Softball Recap: Manatee Hurricanes vs. St. Petersburg Green Devils        
        
		
            
 Manatee won the last time they faced St. Petersburg, and things went their way  on Monday too. The Manatee Hurricanes sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  4-2  win over the St. Petersburg Green Devils. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Manatee.
  Breana Fidler tossed a big game,   tossing seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off   ten  hits (she also only allowed one  walk).
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Josie Alderson, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was  Naomi Oroczo, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 On St. Petersburg's side, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Tegan Grizzard, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Manatee is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record  this season. As for St. Petersburg,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 7-5.
 Manatee will head out on the road to  square off against  Riverview Sarasota at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Riverview Sarasota is coming into the  matchup with seven straight  victories at home,  so Manatee will have to stop a  squad with plenty of momentum. St. Petersburg will take on Northeast at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. St. Petersburg is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.3  runs per game this season.
