Meridian has been on a difficult stretch since their win on September 18. They came up short against the Lakewood Cougars on Thursday, falling 5-0. Meridian were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lakewood apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Meridian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12-1. As for Lakewood, they moved to 3-9-3 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Looking ahead, Meridian will welcome Squalicum at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lakewood, they will square off against Mt. Baker at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mt. Baker's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
