Baseball Game Preview: Central Hardin Bruins vs. Meade County Green Waves

The Central Hardin Bruins are taking a road trip to square off against the Meade County Green Waves at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Bruins fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Monday's season opener. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Nelson County 8-7.

The team relied heavily on Cash Cleaver, who scored two runs and stole Four bases. while going 1-for-1. Logan Robertson was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Meade County not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 29, 2024. They put the hurt on North Hardin with a sharp 12-3 win. The Green Waves haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Central Hardin took their win against Meade County in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 11-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Central Hardin since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
