Soccer Game Preview: Denver South vs. Hinkley

The Denver South Ravens will square off against the Hinkley Thunder at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Denver South is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Denver East, who was ranked seventh at the time (Denver South was ranked 13th). The Ravens took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Angels on Thursday. Denver South's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Hinkley fell victim to Denver North and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to the Vikings.

Hinkley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9-3. As for Denver South, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-2-1.

Denver South beat Hinkley by a goal when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 3-2. Will the Ravens repeat their success, or do the Thunder have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
