Softball Recap: Aragon Takes a Loss

Aragon had lost 11 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 7-12 to make it 12. They lost 6-0 to the Hillsdale Fighting Knights. Considering the last time the Dons couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Aragon saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Workman, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Workman is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

As for Hillsdale, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-6-1 record this season. The win was nothing new for Hillsdale as they're now sitting on three straight.

On Hillsdale's side, the result came thanks to Lola Jones's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Aragon is set to face off against their familiar foe Burlingame at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hillsdale will take on rival Carlmont at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
