Baseball Preview: Altoona Mountain Lions vs. Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers

The Altoona Mountain Lions will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against the Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Altoona will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against DuBois on Friday. Everything went Altoona's way against DuBois as Altoona made off with a 12-1 victory.

Altoona's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Hollidaysburg, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Altoona beat Hollidaysburg 5-2 in their previous matchup back in April. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Hollidaysburg's Cayden Gibbons, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with a home run and two RBI.
