Football Game Preview: Knox Redskins vs. Jimtown Jimmies

Knox has gone a perfect 4-0 against Jimtown recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Redskins will venture away from home to face off against the Jimmies at 7:00 p.m. Knox knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully Jimtown likes a good challenge.

Knox is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Bowman Academy: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Redskins blew the Eagles out of the water with a 64-0 final score. Given the Redskins' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Eagles are ranked 277th) , the win on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Myles McLaughlin produced another solid performance rushing for 271 yards and three TDs on only 11 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 22nd straight game with at least 121 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Jimtown can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They secured a 27-23 W over Lakeland.

Knox's record now sits at 9-0. As for Jimtown, their record is now 2-7.

Everything came up roses for Knox against Jimtown in their previous matchup on October 3rd, as the team secured a 56-13 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redskins since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
