Crimson Cliffs and Desert Hills are an even 5-5 against one another  since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Mustangs will challenge the Thunder at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Crimson Cliffs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4  runs per game  this season.
Crimson Cliffs is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Friday. They walked away with  a   7-4  victory over Mountain Crest. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Crimson Cliffs.
 STATON KRANENDONK tossed a big game,   pitching five innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   five  hits.

 At the plate,  CUTTER CHRISTENSEN was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with three  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  double. Those  three  stolen bases gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  BRECKEN PARK, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base.
Desert Hills came out on top against Stansbury  on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run third inning. The Thunder blew past the Stallions 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Thunder, who have now won 15 matches by six  runs or more  so far this season.
The team  relied heavily on  Jace Fillmore, who  went 1-for-2 with one  home run and two  RBI.  Harmon Skeen also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  triple of the season.
 Desert Hills was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .435. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .348 or higher in three consecutive  games.
 Crimson Cliffs' record now sits at 18-8. As for Desert Hills, their record is now 23-4.
Monday's   contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Crimson Cliffs has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .451. However, it's not like Desert Hills struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .506. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Crimson Cliffs came out on top in a nail-biter against Desert Hills when the teams last played  back in April, sneaking past  8-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
