Softball Game Preview: Ravenna Ravens vs. McKinley Bulldogs

The Ravenna Ravens will square off against the McKinley Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Ravenna's last matchup with Coventry could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Thursday. The Ravens lost 13-3 to the Comets. That's two games in a row now that the Ravens have lost by exactly ten runs.

Mallory Sterba was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run. Savanna McKeown was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, McKinley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Jackson, falling 16-0.

Ravenna has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for McKinley, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-15.

Ravenna took their win against McKinley when the teams last played on Friday by a conclusive 10-4 score. Do the Ravens have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
