Denison has gone 9-1 against Sherman recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Denison Yellow Jackets will look to defend their home field against the Sherman Bearcats at 6:45 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.
Denison will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Friday, then bounced right back against Greenville on Tuesday. Everything went Denison's way against Greenville as Denison made off with a 16-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Yellow Jackets, who have now won six games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Emmerson Dickinson made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sherman). They put the hurt on Anna with a sharp 25-15 win on Tuesday. With that victory, the Bearcats brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.

Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Denison has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .481. However, it's not like Sherman struggles in that department as they've averaged .483. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Denison skirted past Sherman 7-6 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Does Denison have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sherman turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
