South Davidson is 0-8 against West Davidson since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The South Davidson Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the West Davidson Dragons at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, South Davidson earned a 3-1 victory over Thomasville. The win was just what South Davidson needed coming off of a 5-0 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, West Davidson put another one in the bag last Wednesday to keep their undefeated season alive. They never let Lexington onto the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Considering West Davidson has won six matches by more than two goals this season, last Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Their offense was hitting Lexington from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal.
Ava Jackson led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.
South Davidson now has a winning record of 4-3. As for West Davidson, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-0-1.
