Baseball Recap: Miami Valley Christian Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against New Miami

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Miami Valley Christian Academy). They blew past the New Miami Vikings 19-6 on Tuesday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Aidan Frisby was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Miami Valley Christian Academy let Evan Lafferty and Owen Nickum run wild. Lafferty scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Nickum scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Those three runs gave Nickum a new career-high. Max Simon was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Miami Valley Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Miami Valley Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for New Miami, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
