Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Greenfield). They never let the Epiphany Falcons get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Friday. Given Greenfield's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 45th, while Epiphany are ranked 140th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Greenfield's offense was hitting Epiphany from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Landyn Coolbaugh led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

The victory made it two in a row for Greenfield and bumps their season record up to 5-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those two matchups. As for Epiphany, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Greenfield will welcome Faith Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Epiphany, they will venture away from home to square off against John Paul II Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Epiphany's defense better be ready for this one: John Paul II Catholic have averaged an impressive 5.3 goals per game this season.
