Softball Recap: Caledonia's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

Caledonia was the 9-5 winner over St. Charles when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell just short of the Fighting Saints by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The loss was the Warriors' first of the season.

Avery Augedahl spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Caledonia fell to 5-1. As for St. Charles, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Caledonia will face off against Wabasha-Kellogg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Charles, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lewiston-Altura at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
