Volleyball Recap: Owensboro Catholic Comes Up Short

If Owensboro Catholic was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Muhlenberg County last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Aces lost 3-0 to the West Jessamine Colts on Saturday. The Aces were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Colts apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2017.

Leading West Jessamine to victory were Riley Cissell and Delaney Dix. Cissell had eight digs and two aces, while Dix had nine digs.

Owensboro Catholic has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-13 record this season. As for West Jessamine, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 23-11.

Owensboro Catholic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Central Hardin on the 18th. West Jessamine does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
